JA Russia’s Press conference on December 11th 2002 at Moscow House of
Photography highlighted youth entrepreneurship and professional competence
acquired by young Russians through JA programs, and JA Russia’s new Project «Information
Technology for Young Entrepreneurs» - supported by United States Agency for
International Development and Microsoft Representation in Russia and NIS.
The speakers at the Press-conference: Mrs. Lisa Vershbow, an American
designer and creator of contemporary jewelry, who participated as part of the
American Embassy team wife of the U.S. Ambassador to Russia, Alexander Vershbow,
Dr. Kent Hill, Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia United States
Agency for International Development, Anastasiya Shkinina, Project Manager,
Microsoft Representation in Russia and NIS, Dr. Nina Kuznetsova, Executive
Director, Junior Achievement Russia spoke about JA history and the importance of
JA for Russia, and the expansion of JA programs throughout Russia within the
years of its activity. Today 17 educational programs in business and economics
are facilitated through JA Russia’s regional network of 32 centres in 80
regions of the Russian Federation.
JA Russia’s New Project «Information Technology for Young Entrepreneurs
was introduced at the Press-Conference. The pilot run - websites designed by JA
