October 5, 2002, JA Russia’s educational programs were presented within the celebration of The Teacher’s Day in Yukhnov, Kuluzhskaya oblast.
Heads of Regional administration and Education departments, Board of the “Megapir” Association, representatives of the Board and Executive Administration of JA Russia, school directors and teachers of Yukhnov District of Kaluzhcky oblast and Kolomensky Distict of Moscow Oblast gathered in the building of the regional administration in Yukhnovo.
In his address to the participants of the meeting Academician Evgeny P. Velikhov, Board Co-Chairman of JA Russia emphasized the importance of economic and patriotic education of the Russian youth.
According to the decision of Heads of Administration JA Russia’s “Student Company” Component “Applied Economics” Program would be implemented in all schools of Yukhnovo District. Chairman of Megapir Association Board and JA Russia Board Member Alexandr N. Kan’shin announced Megapir’s support for development of JA programs in Yukhnov district. JA Russia’s “Seven Steps into the World of Economics” Program Kits were delivered to teachers. “Megapir” also provided equipment for implementation of JA “Student Company.
