The 14th International Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Europe Student Company Trade Fair

was held March 15-18 in Newcastle, Great Britain. 300 young entrepreneurs of Europe competed for the title of the Best European Student Company. The “Voltea” of Vologda JA Russia’s Regional centre captured the 1st prise in the “International Trade” category. “Voltea” included the high school students of Vologda and two students from Moscow.

The “International Trade” category was established by “International Trade Partners”UK and included the following criteria:
- import/export company;
- international trade product;
- innovative/efficient approach;
- consumer friendly approach.

The student company Trade Fair took place in the “Metrocentre” Trade Centre. “Voltea” product — a computer presentation of the Russian tea ceremony — was extremely popular.

The days spent by “Voltea” in Newcastle were pleasant and busy. Our students had a chance to make friends with their peers from 19 European countries and enjoyed sightseeing in Newcastle and London, disco parties and Euro Knockout Games at the Stadium in Gateshead.
