15.08.2002 The JA MESE (Management Economic Simulation Exercise) Hewlett Packard Global Business Challenge (HPGBC) 2002 culminated with the Championship Round August in San Diego, California, USA.
JA Russia was represented by St Petersburg students Alexander Krasilnikov and Elena Andreeva of Team FISHKA, and Maxim Dernyatin (St Petersburg) as a member of multinational team CYBER-43.

08.08.2002 JA Russia’s “Smile” Student Company from Kazan competed with their “Student company” program colleagues
- high school students from 19 European countries during the“JA -YE Europe” Grand Final of the 13th Company Competition in Paris. “Smile” presented their product - computer presentations of small businesses and student companies of Kazan.

JA Russia Job Shadow Days 2002 were held February 18 -March 5 in Moscow as a part of “JA Connections” program. Job shadow days - a supervised work site experience - help the students identify those areas of interest that will help them make better informed choices of their future jobs and careers.

17.03.2002 The 14th International Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Europe Student Company Trade Fair
was held March 15-18 in Newcastle, Great Britain. 300 young entrepreneurs of Europe competed for the title of the Best European Student Company. The “Voltea” of Vologda JA Russia’s Regional centre captured the 1st prise in the “International Trade” category. “Voltea” included the high school students of Vologda and two students from Moscow.
