Reception in honor of the launch of JA Russia’s Enterprise Education Platform Project
Reception in honor of the launch of the new “Junior Achievement Russia Enterprise Education Platform” Project on May 5th 2011 was hosted be the Ambassador of the United States of America Mr. John Beyrle at his Residence, Spaso House.
Attendants at the event were supporters of the new project, teachers and administration of educational institutions involved in the new JA educational initiative, active participants – students who have become winners and finalists of programs and projects introduced at JA Russia’s Enterprise Education Platform.
New project was designed to expand the access to and upgrade the quality of JA educational programs and projects to help participants become more inventive and enterprising, financially and technologically literate, better prepared for future professional choice and employability, and equipped with all needed success skills.
“JA’s new portal gives greater access and modern delivery of useful programs and experiences to even more students across this vast country. The role of technology and innovation in the delivery of entrepreneurial education is critical. Technology gets students out of the traditional classroom environment, and provides them with engaging, contemporary ways of learning as well as an easy access to a vast source of new skills through online competitions, activities and databases,” – remarked Ambassador John Beyrlе.
Mr. Mark Pomar, President of the US Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law (U.S.R.F.) that has provided significant support for the project, noted that the Foundation leadership was looking forward to seeing the results – new achievements of students.
Greetings and acknowledgements were received from of JA Russia’s Founder and Leader Academician Even Pavlovich Velikhov who thanked Mr. Ambassador for his wonderful hospitality and all partners for tremendous support they provided for the new project.
The audience was addressed with greetings on behalf of Deputy Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation, Oleg Alexandrovich Rozhnov: “For almost two decades the Russian Federation and the United States of America have been the leading member nations of the Junior Achievement global network active in 123 countries of the world. The accomplishments of JA programs in our countries is an example of cooperation in education that helps new generation develop ‘essential skills’ each person needs to achieve successful personal, professional and civic life in an ever changing world.”
JA Russia Executive Director Nina Kuznetsova thanked all attendees for support and participation and noted, that ‘the new portal is meant to be a living breathing, dynamic project, and a subject to constant improvement. We welcome all possible input and we are looking forward to the next steps to its development.”

New opportunities at JA Entrepreneurial Education Portal will be roll out in August 2011 and available for participants during the 2011-12 academic year.
